Brown, Lewis Push Kings Past Oil
Posted on 30 Mar 2011 by Eric Cooney.
The Kings passed their first test without Kopi at the helm, beating the Oilers 2-0 on Tuesday night. Granted, the Oilers aren't the toughest test for the Kings, but it was a solid win and something to build off of as they push for the end of the regular season. (more…)

This was a test run that I did with a friend of mine, Charlie Nobile. Adrian & Chris are going to preview all 30 MLB franchises before opening day. Another big test
Posted on 4 Dec 2010 by Paul Kasprzak.
The Minnesota Vikings are surprisingly not as good as they were last year. Even though the Vikings have a record of 4-7 they are still another big test for the Buffalo Bills. The Bills enter this Sunday looking to redeem themselves after letting a winnable game against the Pittsburgh Steelers literally slip through their grasp. The question is will their never quit attitude still prevail th...

X no x-factor

Australian selectors are going through spinners faster than Henry VIII of England did with his wives. Having been replaced by Xavier Doherty a.k.a “X”, Nathan Hauritz joins the discarded likes of Beau Casson, Cameron White, Jason Krejza and Bryce McGain in Test cricket wilderness. Hauritz’s Test record is notably better than his last four predecessors combined. Casson, White, Krej...

Week 12 Preview: Wisconsin @ Michigan
Posted on 18 Nov 2010 by Chad Seely.
Four weeks ago after the Wisconsin Badgers went into Kinnick Stadium and knocked off a tough Iowa Hawkeyes team, I eyed up the remaining schedule for the Badgers and one game scared me: at Michigan. In what probably isn't the Badgers toughest test of the year, it IS now the most important test of the year. With Northwestern's Dan Persa now out for the year with a Ruptured Achilles, the fina...

Lakeshow Clockwork
Posted on 9 Nov 2010 by Arthur Kai.
The Los Angeles Lakers roll into week 3, undefeated and clicking on all cylinders. Off to a 7-0 start (the best record in the NBA), the attention has shifted from the “Superfriends” in Miami to the two-time defending champions as the team possibly capable of reaching 70 plus wins. Although the talk of 72 wins is premature, subconscious speculation points out how good this Lakers sq...

MIAMI SQUASHES MAGIC, NETS, AND T-WOLVES. WILL THE HORNETS TEST THEM?
Posted on 5 Nov 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
Miami Heat 96 – Orlando Magic 70. Heat 101 – New Jersey Nets 78. Miami 129 – Minnesota Timberwolves 97. This is the Heat team people expected, as well as the squad all of the NBA would fear. After the opening night loss to Boston, fans in Miami were shocked and in every other city fans were laughing. Now, after just a couple of games, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and t...

Who will win the Ashes 2010 – Part I
Posted on 21 Oct 2010 by Suneer Chowdhary.
With the Test series against the Indians out of their way, the countdown clock to the Ashes would have started ticking in both, the Australian and English captains’ minds. Most importantly, the fans around the world would have marked dates on the calendar, booked their tickets for the Ashes if they are in Australia or intending to get there or even booked new television sets for the match-up....

Interesting Test series between India and Australia can be attributed to good pitches
Posted on 12 Oct 2010 by Suneer Chowdhary.
India's two Test match series against Australia points to the fact that the Test match cricket is far from dead. A lot of it has to do with the quality of cricketers on either side, but some of the credit needs to be given to the manner in which the pitches have behaved in the series as well. I write this even as Australia try hard to level the Test match series at Bangalore on the fourth day o...

The Test for Iowa State
Posted on 7 Oct 2010 by Allison Weydert.
Iowa State has another tough assignment this week, much tougher than last week. This week #10 ranked Utah Utes come to town looking to dominate and destroy the Cyclones. But hopefully our beloved Cyclones will blindside the Utes and come away with the win. This week game will be a test for both teams, and shockingly Iowa State has the upper hand in my opinion. For one thing Utah is coming off a...

A tribute to a Laxman-special: India win a thriller at Mohali
Posted on 5 Oct 2010 by Suneer Chowdhary.
India should have probably never won the first Test match against Australia at Mohali, but the greatness of VVS Laxman can hardly be underestimated. Especially when the opposition is Australia. Laxman hit a most valuable half century to guide his side to a 1-0 lead over the Aussies at Mohali. Words can only do so much justice to what VVS Laxman did today. Countless attempts can be made to descr...

Indian series will be vital for Ashes preparations
Posted on 24 Sep 2010 by Suneer Chowdhary.
England announced their squad for the Ashes yesterday, a good two months before the first ball will be bowled in the first Test match at the Gabba in Brisbane. Australian coach Tim Nielsen, on the other hand, spoke about how Aussie preparations for the series were a “one step ahead of where we are at the moment.” With the series against India beginning in exactly a week’s time from now, w...
