Joni Pitkanen netted the winner with 1:02 left in overtime to give the Carolina Hurricanes a 3-2 win over the New York Islanders. Nashville preys on slumping Islanders, rolls to 5-0 victory

As bad as it seems to get for the slumping New York Islanders, it appears it could be much worse when all is said and done this season. Currently riding another losing streak (six games), the Islanders traveled south to Nashville, dropping a 5-0 decision Monday evening to the Predators.
