Phillies Future Tense
Posted on 28 Oct 2011 by Christopher Rowe.
One month ago the Philadelphia Phillies were riding the best record in baseball to the postseason. At that time they expected that they, rather than the St. Louis Cardinals might be squaring off with the Texas Rangers in the 107th World Series. Life doesn’t often work out as expected and that rings true in sports as well. While the 102-win 2011 Phillies watch tonight’s World Series Game 7 o...

The only Atlanta Brave hitter wh...

Braves Bounce Back
Posted on 16 Apr 2010 by Bill Furey.
After getting shellacked by San Diego 17-2 in game 1, Atlanta bounced back by taking the next 2 games from the pesky Padres. Game 1 was just one of those nightmares that every team seems to encounter at some point of the season. Jair Jurrjens was the victim of this slug fest giving up a career high 8 earned runs in only 3 and 1 third innings. After Jurrjens got the hook Jo-Jo Reyes picked up ...
