Week 6 Preview: Redskins Vs Vikings
Posted on 12 Oct 2012 by Mercedes Green.
Let’s just start with RG3. He suffered a concussion a week ago, was cleared to practice without contact on Wednesday and may play on Sunday. I don’t think he should. Unfortunately in the NFL and like many sports, if you’re known to have a weak spot, you may get hit more than usual. I really think he needs to sit out 1 more week and come back stronger against the divisional Giants ...

Evaluating The Vikings Off-Season Moves
Posted on 11 Aug 2011 by Jonathan Fawkes.
As evidenced by their 25th rank in the preseason Power Rankings on ESPN, the Vikings enter the 2011 season with lower expectations than past years when they had a certain quarterback who wore #4. The lockout shortened offseason was particularly detrimental to a Vikings team which has a new head coach (Leslie Frazier), new offensive coordinator (Bill Musgrave), and a new QB (Donovan McNabb) to...

McNabb to Vikings
Posted on 28 Jul 2011 by Mercedes Green.
According to TSN this morning, a deal has been made to trade Donovan McNabb to the Minnesota Vikings. The Redskins get a 6th round pick in the 2012 draft as well as a conditional 6th round pick in 2013. McNabb had to restructure his existing 5 year deal with the Redskins in order to fit into the Vikings' cap. The full details have not been released, but will keep on it as they come in.

WINDS OF CHANGE SWIRL FOR THE VIKINGS AND THE NFL
Posted on 3 Mar 2011 by Sean Eckhardt.
Stability is not a word I would use to describe anything going on in the world of the Minnesota Vikings today. The NFL seems on the verge of a lockout, although the owners and players did agree to a 24 hour extension earlier today. Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was not offered a tender, making him a free agent once the labor issues are resolved. That is certainly not a shock. Pa...

VIKINGS SHOULD BRING BACK DAUNTE CULPEPPER
Posted on 15 Feb 2011 by Sean Eckhardt.
In 2004, Daunte Culpepper had one of the greatest seasons ever recorded by an NFL quarterback. In fact, while most people know that Dolphin QB Dan Marino owns the single-season mark for passing yards, almost nobody knows that Culpepper owns the total yardage mark for a single season at over 5,100, set during that 2004 campaign. Daunte was magnificent during his early Viking years,...

VIKINGS-EAGLES Postponed by Storm
Posted on 27 Dec 2010 by Christopher Rowe.
On a bizarre day when the Philadelphia Eagles were snowed out, they celebrated an NFC East Divisional championship. The NFL moved the Vikings at Eagles game from Sunday night to Tuesday because of a blizzard and driving winds that dumped about a foot of snow on Philadelphia. The game – the first on a Tuesday since 1946 – will be played at 8 p.m. EST. and televised nationally by NB...

“HE’S BEGINNING TO BELIEVE” – MORPHEUS, THE MATRIX
Posted on 8 Dec 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
Three interceptions. Let's get that out of the way immediately. Yes, Tarvaris Jackson threw those picks, two of which had zero impact on the game, 38-14 in favor of Minnesota. That is a score that Viking fans have been waiting to see all year. The Vikings completely dominated a Bills team that had been very competitive lately. During the game, Minnesota's offense looked the ...

VIKINGS WILL BE WITHOUT PERCY HARVIN AS THEY HOST BUFFALO
Posted on 5 Dec 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
The Buffalo Bills enter today's game with an even worse record than the Vikings 4-7 mark. At 2-9 they may not seem like a dangerous team, but Minnesota should not take them lightly. After opening the season 0-8, the Bills won two in a row, then came within one play of beating Pittsburgh last week. Besides, the Vikings have had trouble with all kinds of teams this year. ...

Another Blown Chance vs. NFC North Bottom Feeding Vikings
Posted on 29 Nov 2010 by The SportsGroove.
By MARK F. GRAY Ultimately what may be the downfall for this year’s road to the NFL Playoffs will be the Washington Redskins inability to beat the bottom feeders of the NFC North. After laying an egg in Detroit it cracked at FedEx Field Sunday as they blew opportunities and slipped again at home to an inferior opponent falling to the Minnesota Vikings 17-13 which all but derailed their post s...

FANTASY BECOMES REALITY, VIKINGS FIRE CHILDRESS
Posted on 23 Nov 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
There is good news for Viking fans everywhere. Zygi Wilf has finally seen enough. In the wake of a 31-3 demolition, courtesy of the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, he has fired Head Coach Brad Childress. Favre will not ride in to save the day, like he did by managing a comeback against a bad Arizona team. In fact while nobody on the team is beating the man while he's down, nobody...

This Vikings vs Lions Game Means Plenty
Posted on 26 Sep 2010 by Sean Eckhardt.
Just the third game of the season and the Vikings face a “must win” type of game against the Detroit Lions. It is not pretty, but definitely true. If the Vikes want to control their own destiny, they have to win this game. Against the Lions this would seem like a given, but don't count the win so quickly. Both teams are 0-2, however, the Lions have actually scored m...
