Three More Games in the Hunt for a Green October
Posted on 1 Oct 2012 by Josh Muller.
Folks, we only have three more games left in this weird, wild season. Can you believe it? And with only one series against the Texas Rangers left, the Oakland Athletics are sitting in a pretty solid spot and control their own destiny. Their magic number is down to one, which means that if they win just one game out of the final three then Oakland would be in the playoffs. Or if both the Angels ...

Four Man Rotation Going Foward for Rockies
Posted on 29 Jun 2012 by Steve Folsom.
The Rockies are trying everything to make their pitching staff better. Last week the team decided to go with a four man rotation, as opposed to the traditional five. They would limit the starters to roughly 75 pitches and then give it to the bullpen. Part of the reason for this is because the starters can't get past the 5th inning anyway, so might as well do it on purpose, right? I'm not so...

Can The Red Sox Hold On Much Longer?

Texas spends the money, and has a ball playing the A's. I think they have won 11 of the past 12 meetings. Division champs: The Texas Rangers. Now the Wild card. Believe it or not, the Angels are just 3.5 back o...

NFL Division Doesn’t Add Up
Posted on 5 Jan 2011 by Steven Keys.
It’s the topic on every football fan’s lips this week: the West Division champion Seattle Seahawks qualifying for the NFC playoffs last Sunday with a lowly 7-9 record. Most in the media are defending the NFL’s playoff criteria, saying it’s a freak occurrence for a losing team to qualify and that it’s nothing to fret about. I’d agree, so far as it’s important to give the Seahawks t...

Looking Shook in a Penalizing Loss
Posted on 8 Dec 2009 by Lea Anderson.
If you wanted a demonstration on how to cover receivers and defend well against the pass, the Monday Night Football game showcasing the Ravens visiting the Packers was not the game to watch. Point blank, the game was overshadowed with the amount of airtime the refs received as the Packers came out on top ,27-17. Last night, the Ravens came out as if the cold weather had shut down their abilit...
