Badgers – Nebraska Post Game Recap
Posted on 30 Sep 2012 by Jeff Heimerl.
With the kind of season WI has had so far this year, I can't say I am surprised they opened up their Big Ten schedule with a loss to Nebraska in Lincoln last night. By no means was this a run away game, WI did only loss by 3 points. Montee Ball managed to find the end zone 3 times but didn't break the 100 yd mark as the WI running game is still a big dissapointment thus far this season. At QB J...

Badgers – Nebraska Preview
Posted on 29 Sep 2012 by Jeff Heimerl.
Good news for Badger fans, Senior running back Montee Ball has been cleared to play against Nebraska after suffering a mild concussion in the first quarter of last week game against UTEP. Last year, WI had an easy time beating the then undefeated Nebraska 48-17. Montee Ball had 151 yards rushing and 4 TD's all while Taylor Martinez threw a career high 3 interceptions within a 6 minute span. Thi...

Badgers finish non-conference schedule with a win
Posted on 23 Sep 2012 by Jeff Heimerl.
It may of been close at times and it may not of looked pretty, but Wisconsin finished up their non-conference schedule with a 37-26 home win. Montee Ball was side lined with a head injury but James White and Melvin Gordon picked up where he left off. White rushed for 2 scores and Gordon sealed the deal with a 26 yard score late in the 4th quarter. Jared Abbrederis scored a 47 yard TD in his fir...

Badgers – UTEP Preview
Posted on 22 Sep 2012 by Jeff Heimerl.
Wisconsin, having replaced the offensive line coach after their second game, today they will start redshirt freshman QB Joel Stave over transfer QB Danny O'Brien who has turned the ball over too many times. Stave will benefit from the return of WR Jared Abbrederis from a chest injury, WI's only deep threat. Wisconsin's numbers so far this season have been bad if not terrible for WI standards,...

Badgers survive against Utah State 16-14
Posted on 16 Sep 2012 by Jeff Heimerl.
Wisconsin lucked out once again this week to pull out a 16-14 win marking their 18 consecutive home win. Clearly not the convincing win Badger fans are accustom to. Montee Ball did manage to run for 139 yards and a TD on 37 carries, but once again Wisconsin's offensive line hard a time opening up holes for him to run through. QB Danny O'Brien was pulled at halftime for Joel Stave. Down 14-3 at ...

Week 3 Preview: Northern Illinois
Posted on 16 Sep 2011 by Chad Seely.
The Wisconsin Badgers play their first road game of the 2011 season when they travel to Soldier Field to take on the Northern Illinois Huskies. With two easy victories in as many weeks, the Huskies should provide the toughest test of the season thus far for Bret Bielema's Badgers. Across the sidelines from the Badgers will be a familiar face in NIU Head Coach Dave Doeren. The former Wis...

Big Ten Predictions
Posted on 1 Sep 2011 by Chad Seely.
The college football season is finally upon us as the Wisconsin Badgers host the Runnin’ Rebels of UNLV tonight at Camp Randall Stadium. That means it’s time for some predictions. I was fairly close last year with many of my predictions including a three-way split at the top of the Big 10 standings. However, I said the Badgers would not go to the Rose Bowl. This year is different. ...

Butler Dismantles Wisconsin
Posted on 25 Mar 2011 by Patrick Greissing.
The Butler Bulldogs continued their successful tournament run last night as they dismantled the Wisconsin Badgers and won by a final of 61-54. Just like the first two games, the final points of the game were scored by Matt Howard, who clinched the game with an offensive rebound off a Shelvin Mack miss. The final score doesn’t indicate the damage Butler did. They smothered Wisconsin from the...

Player Profile: Ryan McDonagh
Posted on 8 Feb 2011 by Adam Gavriel.
Defense wins championships. Ryan McDonagh has been one of, if not the best Rangers defensemen in recent games. Last night on the Versus telecast of the Rangers dropping yet another 1 goal game, Pierre Macguire was drooling all over McDonagh the whole night, and for good reason. McDonagh is the kind of dman that won't wow you with his offensive prowess, but more likely then not you'll never see ...

Rose Bowl Preview: Wisconsin – TCU
Posted on 31 Dec 2010 by Chad Seely.
The Granddaddy of them all is upon us and it once again pits two powerhouse programs in the No. 5 Wisconsin Badgers (11-1) and the No. 3 Texas Christian Horned Frogs (12-0). With such long layoffs teams are exposed to before Bowl games, often times it's hard to predict the outcome. This game is no different with TCU trying to earn some national credit by beating a very good BCS team. M...

Player Profile: Derek Stepan
Posted on 14 Dec 2010 by Adam Gavriel.
Currently my third favorite Ranger, behind Lundqvist and Avery, I believe that rookie center Derek Stepan is going to play a huge role in the future of the Rangers. Currently (well, as of Sunday night's game against Washington) manning the top line with Fedetenko and Gaborik, Tortorella and the Rangers brass seems to agree. At just 20 years of age in his first season in the NHL Derek Stepan has...
