Duke vs. Michigan
Posted on 20 Mar 2011 by Chris Girandola.
So the Kyrie experience went better than any and everyone expected, including Sir Charles Barkley himself…even though he might not want to admit it. It may have taken Irving a little while to get used to playing with his fellow Blue Devils again, but once he did, it was the same ol' amazingly tantalizing future lottery pick Kyrie. After scoring a team-high 14 points in the first round, ...

The Illinois Fighting Illini once again found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Illini (19-13) relinquished a 12 point second half lead in a 60-55 loss to the Michigan Wolverines (20-12) in the Big Ten Tournament Quarterfinals. Illinois Preps For Michigan With #1 Ohio State Looming
Posted on 9 Mar 2011 by Jason Patt.
This Friday on ESPN, the Illinois Fighting Illini will square off against the Michigan Wolverines in the Quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament. Both teams sport identical 19-12 overall records and 9-9 Big Ten records. The teams faced off once earlier this season, with the Wolverines traveling to Champaign on February 16th. The Illini won a 54-52 brick-fest that had me wanting to throw som...

Jayhawks Edge Michigan in OT Thriller
Posted on 10 Jan 2011 by Shaun Albin.
The storylines leading up to Sunday’s matchup were fascinating. On one side there was a young team with a great crowd. The visitors, a championship contender in a trap game with conference play looming. Once again, the Jayhawks prevail down the stretch. Despite being in control early and often, Kansas could never put the Wolverines away. Kansas led by double figures for an eight minut...

Big Win for Bucky in The Big House
Posted on 20 Nov 2010 by Chad Seely.
2010 is not 2008. The games had the same feel to each other as the Wisconsin Badgers (10-1, 6-1) raced out to a 24-0 lead over the Michigan Wolverines (7-4, 3-4) in Ann Arbor. And quickly, the Wolverines scored twice in the opening minutes of the second half leaving Badgers fans saying, “Not again”. It would not be deja vu as this Wisconsin team is battle-tested and senior-lad...

Week 12 Preview: Wisconsin @ Michigan
Posted on 18 Nov 2010 by Chad Seely.
Four weeks ago after the Wisconsin Badgers went into Kinnick Stadium and knocked off a tough Iowa Hawkeyes team, I eyed up the remaining schedule for the Badgers and one game scared me: at Michigan. In what probably isn't the Badgers toughest test of the year, it IS now the most important test of the year. With Northwestern's Dan Persa now out for the year with a Ruptured Achilles, the fina...

Illini Fall in Triple Overtime Thriller
Posted on 7 Nov 2010 by Gregg Pluta.
The Fighting Illini lost to Michigan yesterday by only two points. The Illini made it into triple overtime against the Wolverines in a game where the score ended at 67-65. The overtimes were played exactly as the rest of the game was played, scoring back and forth. It seemed that throughout the game whoever had the ball last was going to win. It was absolutely insane that the game came ...

Illini Look to Tie Up ‘Shoelace’
Posted on 3 Nov 2010 by Gregg Pluta.
On Saturday, at 11 a.m. Central time, the Illinois Fighting Illini will take on the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor, MI. The Illini defense, which is ranked 12th in points scored against them, will aim to slow down Denard “Shoelace” Robinson. Denard Robinson was at one point this season a candidate to win the Heisman Trophy because of his explosiveness and the amount of yards a...

Fresh of their win, the Nittany Lions look to make it two in a row this week at home. The Nittany Lions will host the Michigan Wolverines at Beaver Stadium. This maybe the first week that Penn State desperatly needs Evan Royster. With all of the injuries to the defnese and now the injury to Rob Bolden, the senior tail back needs to step up big in this game. ESPN will nationally televise the co...

Michigan: Good or Bad for college football?
Posted on 13 Oct 2010 by Curt Bell.
Before I begin, I ‘d just like to give a shout out to fellow Pro Sports blogger James Centifonti (http://prosportsblogging.com/author/jamescentifonti/) for giving me the idea to this week's blog. After my previous article, he commented on it, and writing that “I hope for the sake of college football that this program gets back to that elite status. It’s just good for the game....

Hello loyal readers…all 4 of you! Sorry I have been away from the blogosphere the last few weeks, but I have had a lot going on that didn't include Michigan football. For those of you that care, I'm a lawyer and sometimes that means working a lot of hours and some things take a back seat. Unfortunately, this blog was one of those things. Now that work has somewhat calmed down, I will be a...

Three In A Row For The Spartans Against Little Brother!
Posted on 10 Oct 2010 by David Lesmeister.
Sorry everyone, but this will be a short quick read, because words really cannot describe what happened yesterday in Ann Arbor. Michigan State took it to a 17th ranked, undefeated Michigan team 34-17, squashing all this talk about how the Wolverines can’t be stopped and how Denard Robinson may run for 2,000 yards. Instead, all the talk was about how MSU completely handled a so-called high pow...
